We have not forgotten about you, nor will we forget.  I want you to know, you are not forgotten.  Your stories have touched our hearts and your determination to go on despite such overwhelming odds have inspired us all.  We see your faces and hear your stories and media reports and better understand what terrible events you have suffered.  We see your frustration of the world not acting to help end the killing and torture in Syria and we understand and feel frustrated as well the world is not doing much more.  We see tears running down your face and we feel heartbroken that you have to suffer such terrible circumstances.  We read of stories of massacres, tortures, rapes being committed against the Syrian people and we become angry at the evil men who have done these things in Bashar al-Assad's regime.  We see video footage of crimes against humanity and their aftermath and we are horrified and sickened that men could be so cruel and vicious.  Some are so horrible it is very difficult to even watch and one can not help but turn away.  We though realize the world needs to be informed of what is going on so realize how important these stories and footage are. 

We think of all the men, women, and children suffering under such brutality and we can not even contemplate how terrible it must be for you. The young men beaten in prison, The Homs Massacre, The Zablatani Mass Shootings, Mass Executions in Deir ez-Zor, Aleppo Executions, The Shelling of Homs,  The Houla Massacre, The Aleppo Bakery Massacre, these and similar stories and videos we will never forget them.  We knew after these massacres what a truly evil regime Bashar al-Assad and his men are.  The fact they killed all those children and so brutally and in cold blood is something we will never understand.  Those poor children we can not imagine the horror and pain they felt it is too terrible to contemplate.  To think such things are routine in Syria today it is a terrible and heartbreaking feeling. 

Do not however let evil acts cause you to become blind to the good in the world.  Look for the good always in all things and all people you come across.  You will come to find there is far more good in the world then evil.  Those men who did  such crimes as is happening in Syria will not escape from their crimes even if they escape prosecution.  They know what evil they did and it will torture them until the day they die and history has proven the natural order of things bends towards justice.  They will be cursed for the remainder of their days so trouble not yourselves that such men escape justice.  They may escape the justice of men but they will not escape the justice of natural law.  The children and adults killed their life was stolen from them, but their memory lives on, and the legacy they leave behind will continue far after their gone and we are gone.  The memories of them will continue to bring smiles and good feelings to those who knew them and later to those who have learned of them.  Those who knew them may miss them so much they can hardly stand to live but just think would your loved ones want you to spend the rest of your life being sad and miserable?  Of course not they would want you to be happy and do good in the world.  Tell the stories of their lives not their death and the wonderful things they did in life.  Remember all the small things they did that made you or others be happy or laugh.  Memorialize their memory with pictures, things they liked or made, things they used to say or write, tell their story to others either verbally, through writing, or even a video; it will be healing for you and others going through the same thing and inspiring to others.

Take heart all tyranny no matter how long it has existed eventually will pass away.  All tyrants in the end meet their fate.  Bashar al-Assad will not escape from his crimes neither will others in his regime.  Never feel hopeless there is always hope.  Even in your darkest hour know there is people within Syria and all around the world who stand with you.  When you can barely go on remember what you are fighting for and who you are fighting for.  Let your heart and mind not be troubled.  When you can no longer walk there will be people along the way that will help you walk.  When you are hungry there shall be people who will provide you food. When you are alone there shall soon be people to meet and form friendships with.  When you are wounded there shall be people to bind your wounds.  When you are troubled and sad there shall be people to comfort you.  When it is dark and you feel the sun will never rise again just wait a few hours and the sun shall once again rise.  When you are cold take heart you shall soon find warmth.  You do not walk your journey alone for many walk with you.  May Peace Be Upon You.
